I am not a big fan of camping. We have camped all over, in all kinds of weather. Not my favorite thing, by any stretch. Unfortunately, I live with four people who love camping almost as much as I hate it.
About 10 years ago, Marty's dad and step-mom gave us a tent for Christmas. We outgrew it 4 years ago, and haven't bothered to replace it.
Yesterday we all piled into the van and headed to Jackson. I decide to take all of the money I have been saving to get a BodyBugg and buy a damn tent with it. Now that we live in an area where we can start tent camping in the middle of March, it seemed like a much better way to spend the money. (**Sniff, sniff**) This is the tent we got.
While we were there, I also decided to take the money I have been saving to replace my belobved digital camera and buy a portable grill. This is the one we got.
So somehow, the $250 I had saved for a BodyBugg turned in to $279 for a tent, and the $160 I had saved for a camera had turned in to $225 for a grill. Oh, and don't forget all of the "accessories" we picked up.
Out of all of it, I did manage to get the CamelBak water bottle I have been looking for. It was $13 and is very pink.
I would take pictures of my weight loss journey, but now I wonder if either will ever happen. Have I mentioned how much I hate camping?
